KYLIE BONTRAGER, DDS, MSD
Dr. Kylie Bontrager attended Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis for her undergraduate studies before continuing her education at Indiana University School of Dentistry. After obtaining her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2016 and finding her love for treating children as a general dentist in private practice, she decided to continue her education again in residency. She completed a 2-year specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at Indiana University School of Dentistry and Riley Children’s Hospital in 2023 where she obtained her Master’s of Science in Dentistry along with a minor in public health. She is a proud member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
I began my higher education journey at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) for my undergraduate studies. I then continued my education at the Indiana University School of Dentistry, where I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2016.
After gaining experience as a general dentist in private practice, I discovered my true passion: treating children. This led me to pursue further specialization, completing a two-year residency in Pediatric Dentistry at the Indiana University School of Dentistry and Riley Children’s Hospital. I finished my residency in 2023, also earning my Master of Science in Dentistry along with a minor in Public Health. I am a proud member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association.
I am truly passionate about creating positive dental experiences for children and helping them develop healthy smiles for life.

Through these organizations, I am able to take many courses, along with attending seminars and lectures, and reading various periodicals. Continuing education (CE) is an excellent way to maintain and expand skills, and keep up to date with recommendations in the specialty. My patients benefit from the concepts I learn and incorporate into the practice on a daily basis.
In addition to my active pursuit of CE, I currently teach/staff the residency clinic at Riley Hospital. I am also the pediatric liaison for the IU Dental School Alumni Association. I will always want to remain active in my community, so I can be the very best practitioner and advocate for my patients!
BEYOND THE OFFICE
Dr. Kylie Bontrager enjoys spending time with friends and family. She loves to read, travel, attend the theater, and spend late nights playing cards with her parents. She was once a proud member of the Concord Marching Minutemen in high school and holds a special place in her heart for the Indiana State School Music Association marching band competitions every fall.
